Background: Wild Bill has succeeded in making a name for himself as a no holds-barred menace who is willing to win at all costs.  He reached early stardom under the moniker Pitfire when he became the first ever NPW Lightheavyweight Champion.  He was stripped of the title soon after and a drastic change in his persona took place.  Taking more to his down-home, country roots, Pitfire became Wild Bill, and left the lightheavyweight division behind for greener pastures.  Those pastures included a feud with fan fave Timmy, who he persude with a vigorous, fanatical zeal.  The feud ended in Timmy's long time absence from NPW, which Wild Bill proudly took credit.  NPW gold seemed out of reach of this renegade till a surprising partnership with former DCW tag team wrestler the Tilton Tangler earned him one half of the NPW Tag Team Championship.  The Backyard Brawlers, as the duo was called, left an idelible impression in the NPW tag team division, succeeding in surpassing even Ultimate's accomplishments.  Then, an unfortunate misunderstanding between Wild Bill and Tilton Tangler ended their long time partnership.  Wild Bill set his sites on singles competition.  Throughout the middle of 2002, Wild Bill worked his way up the ranks to earn a shot at the Next Phase Wrestling Championship.  He indeed, succeeded in beating Arnie Ambiguous for the title, with the unexpected help of former NPW nemesis, Sherman.  Now, with a new manager at his side, Wild Bill has found a renewed focus, making him, quite possibly, the most dangerous wrestler currently in NPW.
