The Commissioner
Commish Melvin Shmemptner
Former Occupation:  Hardcore Tax Accountant
Fomer Affiliations:  Hardcore Badass's Goon Squad (FUW)
Debut as Commissioner:  Christmas Slay '01
Background:  Melvin Shmemptner roots begin far back to the early days of DCW.  Melvin was a brother of Marvin Shmemptner (or however you spell it), who marked the birth of DCW by his tragic death at Wrestlefest '97.  Ever hopeful that the Shmemptner name would not be forgotten, Melvin went from one backyard federation to another, gaining experience as a wrestler, commentator, booker, and promoter.  His return to the local wrestling scene came at an FUW Lizard's Lounge show, as he came out as part of the Hardcore Badass's entourage, The Goon Squad.  Upon hearing of NPW's loss of Randy Dekin, their first and only commissioner to that date, Melvin went into discussions with NPW President Tukre.  Tukre, not willing to pass up a good thing, hired Melvin as the new commissioner.  As part of his regular duties, Melvin oversees the day to day operation of NPW, including setting up showdates, planning cards for said dates, scouting for new talent, keeping the ring "tidy", and attempting to keep the overall enthusiasm level high for Vermilion County's only premier wrestling promotion.
