Background: Arnie started backyard wrestling as a headliner in the Covington Wrestling Organization. He signed on to Danville Championship Wrestling in late '97, but only managed to appear in a battle royal on DCW TV. After working house shows for DCW until late '99, Ambiguous signed on with Next Phase Wrestling. Interestingly enough, Arnie spoke perfect english in CWO and DCW, but didn't in NPW. It's said that Ambiguous became a Japanese wrestling enthusiast upon signing with NPW, thus the change in language. He floundered in the midcard, but was consistently used on TV. Gaining more and more experience from event to event, and with the help of customs teacher and translator Enrique, Arnie became the Unified Hardcore Champion by beating Big Smith and then became the NPW Champion by dethrowning Omega. After losing the title to Wild Bill Arnie took a break from the squared-circle to regroup and prepare for his next big NPW comeback. It came at November to Forget '03, as Arnie jumped a surprised Wild Bill and let everyone else in NPW know that he'll be around for a long time to go.
