Background: Just when you thought it was safe to watch NPW, HERE COMES ALPHA AGAIN!!! One of frontrunners in this promotion, he started out in NPW from its earliest beginnings and stayed with it for, well...about 3 shows. BUT THEN HE CAME BACK, just 6 shows later to reform one of the most dominant tag teams in NPW history, Ultimate. Alpha and Omega succeeded in regaining their lost NPW Tag Team Championship, but Ultimate's days were short-lived, as his long-time friend and tag partner turned on him soon after. Alpha returned with a vengeance and became a thorn in Omega side throughout most of the summer of 2001. Alpha AGAIN disappeared from the NPW scene(yeah, I've lost count too) and the public at large was forced to believe he would never "show up" again. How wrong they were. Alpha, seemingly in good spirits and in tip-top shape for a man of about 53 years, returned to tag with his best bud, Omega, for one more go at the tag titles. The attempt was, well, less than spectacular, but recent events in the NPW show that Alpha is still a force to be reckoned. Nothing proves that more than his recent alliance with NPW newcomer Dre-Kahn. The duo, dubbed the Omega Men by Alpha, fight to bring back Omega and may become a serious threat in the tag team division.
