Background: Gumbo Boy finds himself at home in either the swamp or the squared circle. A slow, but methodical powerhouse who can make his opponents tap out with ease, Gumbo has been a fan favorite since his debut at Manor Mayhem. His longstanding feud with Wildkat began not long after, and he has succeeded in beating his rival on many occassions, including one which cost Wildkat his precious hair. With his overwhelming success in NPW it came as a surprise that Gumbo Boy shied away from the spotlight and took a break from the squared circle. About a year passed till NPW presented their first ever Super D Cup Tournament in which Gumbo Boy made his stunning return. Clearly sporting a new aggresive attitude, Gumbo joined up with the likes of Dan Benson to take over the floundering tag team division. At Heatstroke 2003, the Southern-born duo won the vacated All Vermilion County Tag Team Championship by defeating the other contenders for the belts, The Shockers. While lacking the charm that once made him popular, Gumbo Boy has come into his own, and seems poised to rewrite the tale of the "Crazed Cajun" in NPW history.
