![]() Next Phase Wrestling's Farmland Fallout '02 is in the books and has received rave reviews by those who saw it. Larry Dash said it was the best wrestling he's seen in NPW. Hopefully, this show will light a fire under the asses of those who were losing interest. This was definitely a 180 from last year's Farmland Fallout, although Omega did beat Mars for the Heavyweight Championship then.
I cannot believe Kurt Rigsby beat Omega. Omega is supposed to be NPW's top star and didn't seem too focused on the match. Primal Instinct siezed the opportunity and has to be considered for a singles title shot pretty soon.
Right now I think my favorite match of Farmland Fallout 2002 was the Big Smith and Wild Bill no DQ match. They kept the weapons to a minimum and stayed mostly on the mat the whole match. That made the finish even that more explosive and climactic.
I understand we've got a couple debutes coming to NPW soon and I'm not talking about the EBW wrestlers.
I was sorry I was late arriving for the EBW feature at Fallout. Are we even calling their matches EBW exhibitions? Because I see no reason why they can't be NPW sanctioned matches. I was sorry to hear Jade Shocker most likely won't be returning, but we don't wanna force those who aren't into it to wrestle for us. I've liked Dare Devil since I saw him training with the boys and can't wait to see Accelerator in action.
So I've been reading the event history on this website and saw some whacked out stuff from Homecoming Bash 2000 and Tag Wars 2000. First off, how in the world did Bobby Beatnik beat the Tilton Tangler at Homecoming Bash? You gotta wonder how the multi-time tag team champion bounced back from a loss to that guy. Second, from Tag Wars, who's Jim Desmond? Should I care that the webmaster made that comment about his mom?
Interesting stuff going on with DCW at the last show. At least this can't be called an Invasion. It's more of a revolt or an uprising. I was with DCW until August 2000 and can see why Crisis, Zero and "Sweet" Jimmy D. would want respect from the younger NPW stars. But the way Zero and Crisis handled their frustration is unexcusable. Hey Zero, if you want respect from NPW, start winning matches. I'm interested to see if Jimmy D. will get revenge on his own, or employ the assistance of his predecessors.
Here's my look at the pros--why Steph?
On FUW's website (www.fuwonline.com) they're calling the next show on August 11th at Tri-Lakes membership club in Bloomington the 5th Annual Last Show Ever. I'm not sure if this is a joke or if they're not kidding. I've got some investigative reporting to do on that issue.
Danville Wrestling Federation memory: Jimmy Suade losing his one match to Tree Trimmer Bitch and never being invited back to wrestle even though he carried the match.
I have in my possession every episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. Let the nostalgia begin.
That's all for this week. Start writing your bios!
