NPW's Homecoming Bash '02 certainly wasn't your typical homecoming. Instead of a dance, the day started with lunch at Amanda's featuring the musical stylings of Dave Willis. I left before anything happened but I'm sure whatever did happen explains Treehugger's absence from the show. Instead of football, we put on a wrestling show that featured a turn of events that moved DCW's revolt into high gear.

The 3 Kings had been losing steam because one guy just isn't all that scary. With no Zero nor Crisis, the DCW revolt seemed to be on its last lap. Now Commissioner Schmemtner has joined the fray. How could I not see it coming? Afterall, it was Melvin's brother Marvin who helped bring the Danville wrestling scene to surface.

Omega is back. Yup after being seemingly burned alive in the vampire coffin, he made his return appearence to show the 3 Kings NPW won't go down without a fight. I understand "Sweet" Jimmy D.'s left arm is pretty banged up after the singapore cane shot he receive at the hands of Omega.

Will someone tell Omega the k-nines aren't necessary? We get it. You like vampires.

Another suprise (or not so suprise) turn was Wayne Shocker turning on Dare Devil to join up with his brother Jade. Hey, didn't those guys where masks? Looks like the cat's out of the bag. Wayne and Jade tagged in Extreme Backyard Wrestling according to my notes and they never really explained why they were going against each other for that short period of time in NPW. Dare Devil's not outnumbered, however. He's got the Scarlet Spider on his side.

How about that finish to the Scarlet Spider/Hammerfist match? I've never seen anyone backflip out of a wheelbarrow before. Very cool.

Let's see more of the Baron. I want him managing more wrestlers and reciting more poems about why his wrestlers are dangerous. I love it.

When's Wild Bill gonna get his break? By no means is Arnie Ambiguous avoiding a one on one match with the now FUW star. Bill did quite a number on Arnie during their triple threat match with Wildkat. It'd be interesting to see these two go one on one with both at a fresh start.

No T-Money or Old School McGee?

Since when does El Tinador do a frankensteiner? Did you see his mask rip? And if Tilton Tangler was indeed the one under the mask, why didn't he just ditch the mask during the match instead of getting pinned? Then again, it could have been El Tinador during the match, but the Tangler under the garb after the match was over and "El Tinador" came back out to celebrate. Did you hear Tangler say it was him all along but then blame El Tinador for attacking El Ninja?

Hey no Chilly on this show! Instead we get the ill-fated return of Dimebag Davey. Rumor is he just wanted his picture taken but that didn't happen. At least he didn't win the battle royal.

I received a copy of King of Extreme '02 tonight. I'll finally get to see the Doctor of Wrestling Ace Diamond Steel.

Go to Midstate Pro's show on 10/25!
