![]() Holy cow we're having a wild ride heading toward our last show for 2004, that being Lights Out on Sunday November 14th. We've got guys who are up in the air if they're gonna be able to make the show or not. The card has many possibilities right now, but whatever NPW delivers at Lights Out will surely do justice to past headlining events.
Big Smith vs. Dare Devil is pretty much set in stone. I believe Big Smith is 2-0 in one on one matches with Dare Devil, but the #1 contender did pin the big man in a triple threat this year. Dare Devil has shown he has what it takes, but how much did his match with X-Celerator at Homecoming Bash take out of him? And for that matter, will Big Smith's ribs be 100% after his match with the Tilton Tangler?
I would like to say it's put up or shut up time for Wildkat, but he's successfully put up since winning the DCW Championship from Mars. He's got his toughest match yet at Lights Out going against two men who can't wait to tear him apart in Babu and Dan Benson. Wildkat will have to use his trickery and cunning if he wants to win this game of survivor. Gumbo Boy's in it for the championship shot, which still may be taken away from him if Mars is able to show. In a 4-way match, it's supposed to be every man for himself, but expect to see some teaming up between the former tag team champions. What will happen if it comes down to those two?
It appears as if we'll have Wild Bill and El Ninja back for Lights Out. This creates changes for the Unified Hardcore Championship situation because being the former champ, El Ninja wants back in the hunt. X-Celerator is the King of Extreme and was originally signed to have a KOE rematch with current champion Sparky, this time with the belt on the line. We'll settle this by having X-Celerator and El Ninja go one on one to determine who gets the shot at Sparky down the line.
You don't get much more "Americana" than the cowboy-clad "rassler" named Wild Bill. This time, he'll join up with Zero, Sparky and Old School McGee to take on that group of wily Russians. However, revenge on Dare Devil and X-Celerator for what they did to him at the King of Extreme will forever loom in the front of the mind of the cattle herding NPW favorite.
Team Hell came up short the last time they were the #1 Contenders to the All-Vermilion tag team championships. Now they find themselves in the familiar position, but this time against a different kind of adversary. Benson and Gumbo were a brute force team with a knockout punch. The Alpha Males rely on finesse and team chemistry. Team Hell carries one of those attributes, and it sure ain't finesse. They probably won't fall for Alpha's "baby" trick, so the tag team champs better be ready for a choppin' and kickin' fight...FROM HELL
We've received some interest from the Front Yard Federation based in Georgetown. There's a chance we may have some of their participants in our audience on the 14th. We certainly do welcome them and if you haven't checked out their website yet, I highly encourage you to do so because the video packages are amazing for what they're working with.
We won't have a Christmas Slay this year, so Lights Out will be Next Phase Wrestling's Wrestlemania. Join us on November 14th because this surely won't be a November to Forg...oops, I promised we wouldn't use that anymore. Sorry Dekin.
Reporting for NPW news,
I'm Mick Gene.
