![]() NPW Management has called upon former intern and booker, Joey the King, who left NPW for Japan back in December of 2001, to come back and speak on events, present and past, to better provide the fans with a better understanding of our fine promotion, backstage and on.
This is an exciting time for Next Phase Wrestling. You merely have to take a look around to see what I am talking about. Yeah, yeah, I know we got the 3 Kings breathin' down everyone's neck now that Shmemptner is hangin' with him. Sure, we've recently lost NPW's franchise player, Omega. I know the weather has been horribly cold the past 2 shows burdening our fine staff, roster, and audience, but look at the big picture here.
Since Light's Out 2002, NPW has had an influx of new talent jumping onto the regular roster. Superstars such as Dare Devil, Jade Shocker, and Xcelerator started to make a name for themselves over the summer, and I'm sure it's gotten everyone's attention. The fans have been enthusiastic to say the least. The old timers are startin' to sweat. I like to think of this as "progress."
With more wrestlers jumping onto the NPW bandwagon, you can expect the competition to become fierce and the matches to be outstanding. New wrestlers means new feuds, new matches, and new thrills. Just think of the possibilities. Imagine, someday, seeing Big Smith, a legend in his own right, facing off against a young, hungry Xcelerator. Imagine El Ninja and Dare Devil competing for "air supremacy" in a battle of the high flyers. Can you see the Shockers and the Tilton Dirtlegs competing for bragging rights? Anyone doubt the Scarlet Spider can out wrestle Sweet Jimmy D, a master of the squared circle? I don't think so.
That's just to name a few. I have on good authority that other new superstars are on their way eager to prove themselves in Next Phase Wrestling. The competition is getting more fierce. Is that a bad thing? Hardly. This only helps to cement NPW as one of the best promotions to compete and entertain. In the end, everyone will turn out to be a winner, especially the fans.
