2004 Year In Review

Hey Everyone, Mick Gene here. I've composed a timeline of the major stories coming out of 2004.  Please note this isn't a list of best matches. It's a list of the stories and happenings.
Enjoy!

January 18th

Wild Bill defeats Arnie Ambiguous, ending their series of matches dating back to November 2003. At the previous show, Arnie had aided Big Smith in beating Bill for the NPW Championship.

Wayne Shocker defeats Jade Shocker in a Loser Leaves Town Match after a long road which lead to them coming up just short in winning the NPW All-Vermilion Tag Team Championships.

Big Smith defeats Zero in their 3rd Pizza Box Scramble Death Match, now hallowed match in the history of Next Phase Wrestling. This match's foundation was built by possibly NPW's best promo segment ever.

February 8th

T-Money defeats Old School McGee, signifying their split as a championship tag team.

April 4th

X-Celerator returns after an absence since June 2003 to defeat Wayne Shocker, kicking off a successful record in 2004. X-Celerator then denied Alpha's proposal to join the Omega Men. Wayne, however, joined Alpha, spawning the tag team of the Alpha Males.

Sparky d. Zero in NPW's first ever Firehouse Death Match. "Longhorn" Dan Benson was one of the firefighters, which planted the seeds for his feud with Zero that will continue into 2005.

Dare Devil pins NPW Champion Big Smith in a non-title match, putting him in the title chase for the rest of the year.

April 6th

Dan Benson and Gumbo Boy defeat Zero and Mars in a bloody street fight, kicking off the feud between these four men.

May 9th

Wayne Hewes III debuts and reforms the Colt League.

X-Celerator defeats Jon Tomson, signifying his split from manager Ivan Ruski.

Omega returns to NPW after an absence since December 2002 to team with Dre-Kahn and defeat Team Hell. Their partnership, however, didn't last past this show.
